Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American British sitarist and musician. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield as the youngest, and first female recipient. Alongside receiving nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the very first Indian-origin musician to be a presenter and performer during the ceremony live. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is an Indian young sitar singer. She is a student and daughter of the famous Ravi Shankar. Her childhood was spent bouncing between London and New Delhi. In the age of thirteen, she gave her first show at New Delhi. She graduated in 1999 from her high schooling within Encinitas CA. Although she is still very young Anouskha is an accomplished performer and recording career. She regularly accompanies her father on stage, which she has been doing for several years. Her debut single album Anourag in the year 1998. The album was titled the album Live At Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album a year following.
